Treaty 42 Cellars 2018 Verdejo Spain

Treaty 42 Cellars 2018 Verdejo Spain

The first wine we featured from Treaty 42 Cellars was a club favorite. Their Monastrell (what the French call Mourvedre) is a powerful wine that is perfectly balanced between dark fruits and a firm structure. They are masters of balance, and they’ve done it again with this incredible Verdejo. Light bodied but with bright acidity and firm minerality, this is a wine that shines with food. The fruity notes of pear, cantaloupe, and guava play off of a pronounced umami character and make it easy to pair with savory dishes. We have loved it with pork tenderloin, fish tacos, and even vegetarian stir-fry. Judges love it too! It took home Gold from the 2019 Hilton Head Island Wine and Food International Wine Competition!
