A sub-appellation of Columbia Valley in central Washington state, the Horse Heaven Hills appellation is still relatively unknown in the wine world. However, the region produces some of the most beautiful bottles coming out of the Pacific Northwest. Vines planted in the area experience a very unique climate—dry and hot, desert-like temperatures are mitigated by strong winds that are pushed from the Cascade Mountains to the west.
