During this vintage, cool and sunny weather conditions allowed for slow ripening, meaning the grapes had plenty of time to develop their rich, concentrated flavors. The oak aging adds a more diverse palate of spice in addition to the pepperiness naturally presented by the Syrah grape variety. When it comes to pairing, this wine is surprisingly versatile. Because our wine makes a firm statement by itself, it can hold its own against more flavorful foods like sausage.
