Ruskin Ridge 2014 Zinfandel Sonoma County California

Ruskin Ridge 2014 Zinfandel Sonoma County California

Every summer morning a Pacific fog rolls lazily over the hills of Sonoma, California, bringing cool temperatures to the area vineyards. By midmorning, the sun has burned off the lingering fog patches and the grapes are able to get all the life-giving sunshine they need. The abbreviated hours of sun aren’t enough for some varietals to fully ripen, so winemakers have improvised and planted vineyards above the fog line along the ridges. There they are able to produce wines with ripe acidity, a fruity intensity, and bold spice. The Ruskin Ridge Zinfandel is one of these wines where brown spice and vanilla meet fruit flavors head on to create a wine that will pair beautifully with a boldly flavored meal. Judges love it too. It took home a Silver Medal at the 2018 North of the Gate Wine Competition and the 2018 Critics Challenge!
